Become a Trainer
Open Call for Trainers
We at CSC are always interested in discovering new talent in the form of dynamic, engaging, and knowledgeable trainers. For information about becoming a trainer for CSC, contact Lori Miller at lori.miller@cscpbc.org.
Minimally, candidates must:
Individuals wishing to train for CSC must first become a part of our trainer cadre. To do this, individuals must complete a Trainer Application and return it to CSC along with a resume. Appropriate applicants will be interviewed. References will be checked. If approved, the applicant will become a member of the CSC trainer cadre.
Should a training need arise within a cadre member’s area of expertise, CSC will contact the individual and ask for a Training Workshop Proposal. A review team will meet and determine which proposal best aligns with what we are seeking. At that time, CSC will subcontract with the trainer.
Training Workshop Proposals are evaluated based upon their alignment with the CSC direction, their ability to utilize adult learning principles, the strategies utilized to promote learning from the classroom into behavior change in the field, and cost effectiveness. If applicable, past evaluations of the trainer’s courses will be pulled and reviewed as well.
